This is Skiathos Scenery File GreekAirportsProject presents the International Airport of Skiathos that it is considered by many people the `Greek St. Maarten` due to the unique experience it can offer giving to the friends of the aviation to be far just a breath from a B757, just few meters from the wonderful 02. The Scenery contains details not only from the Airport but, for first time, GAP (as it is known our target is only the representation of airports) makes an effort to give more general details from the ambient of this marvellous island, mainly the very picturesque scene just before the landing on 02. For the making there were used drawing programs like Gmax, 3Dmax, as well as real photos that were edited with the Photoshop, Paintshop, Corel programs. Concerning the Frames, it is extremely user-friendly despite the volume of the objects that were used and exceed the 27.000 polygons. The planning of the scenery started on 17 September 2006 and was completed on 4 November 2006, one day before its free use from the friends of Flight Simulator.

Covering the Eastern Aegean Sea, it presents the Airport of Samos «ARISTARCHOS OF SAMOS». The GMAX technology is applied for first time, which helped a lot so that the scenery is extremely friendly to the FRAMES and of very low capacity demands in your hard disc. Rhodes Airport 'DIAGORAS' is located in the municipality of Paradisi, at a distance of 15 km, westwards from the city of Rhodes. The Airport began to operate on June 28, 1977. Its building installations cover an area of approx. 31.000 m2. It has 13 aircraft parking positions and facilitates more than 17.000 flights and 1.3 million passengers each year. The scenery is made using latest tools and techniques available, based on more than 1500 hi resolution photos taken at the airport and terminal area. Together with the design plans of the actual airport make this scenery a quality replica of the real thing. Rhodes 2010 contains also detailed modeling of the wider area of the island featuring the old medieval castle, the harbour and a beautiful sea base for your amphibianplane. Using advance modelling and sequencing techniques the scenery is extremely frame rate friendly. The scenery covers the following areas of Rhodes. Diagoras airport in Rhodes The city of Rhodes The city port sea base The village of Paradisi Scattered landmarks / buildings near the airport that serve as visual reference points. We have reconstructed the port of Rhodes with great detail. On the smaller marina inside the port you will be able to find the sea base we have included in the scenery. Lesvos island with extent 1632 km2, is the third in size island of Aegean, afterwards Evia and Crete. It abstains about 190 naval miles from Piraeus and fascinate the visitor with the dense olive groves and beaches that dispose of. In this Airport you will see the most important parts of the Airport like the South Apron Terminal, the station of the Mytilene Aeroclub and many other that are based on real pictures which represent as accurate as possible the reality in FS2004. For that project it was valuable the assistance of the Mytilene Aeroclub and mainly the good friend Manolis Argiropoulos to whom we owe a big thank you.
